G. Loomis
knows a thing or two about world records.
With 24 fly fishing world records, as listed in
the International Game Fish Association’s 2007
World Record Game Fishes book.
G. Loomis
was founded in 1982 by Gary Loomis, creating
high-end rods for both freshwater and saltwater
anglers who are serious about quality and
performance.
In terms of the quality,
G. Loomis
rods are made from proprietary resins and
composite sheets designed especially for the
Woodland, Washington-based company – created to
hold up to the stresses big-game fish can
provide.
In terms of performance, the
G. Loomis
employees have been on staff an average of 15
years and are some of the harshest critics of
their products. |

Xperience
Xperience fly rods are a new range of high
performance/high value travel fly rods.
Utilizing the same high modulus graphite found
in the top of the line rods of other brands, the
rod tapers have been crafted to cast
effortlessly with a lightweight feel, yet with
durability to become an heirloom. The lighter
sizes, with medium fast taper and stiffness,
provide the high line speed needed for accuracy
and control. As the demands of casting greater
distance with larger weighted flies arise, the
#8 and heavier models are designed with
fast/stiffer taper to meet whatever challenge
swims within range. Finished in a rich mahogany
brown color with a new anodized reel seat these
rods are suitable for all fresh and saltwater
conditions.

Stream Dance GLX
StreamDance GLX fly rods are a benchmark for
trout fishing fly rods. Consistently rated tops
in shoot outs, these medium-fast to fast taper,
medium stiffness rods are the universal answer
to many situations. We are confident in calling
these rods the best all-around trout rods on the
planet, bar none. Potent enough to punch a long
line, yet still subtle when you need to curve a
long leader with attached minute imposter to a
sipping spring creek resident in tight quarters.
Explore a new freestone stream in the mountains
with this rod in hand and you will conclude it
is a decathlete champion in the trout rod world.
Coated in a satin olive finish with components
that are second to none. Recoil guides, buckeye
burl insert, ported and knurled winding
check...The best.

Cross Current Saltwater
Fly
Its the age-old formula... find the moving water and find the fish. Tides and
currents - they're the keys to saltwater flyfishing. Where current meets still
water or dissimilar currents converge, edges are created and the bait is
trapped. It s these edges that flyfishers seek... the "crosscurrents" where fish
and fly meet!

Steelhead & Salmon Fly
Fishing for steelhead and salmon often result in addiction that can easily be
mistaken for mental instability. Yet you've been there and understand the
outcome and feeling of wanting more. Which is why we, as determined as you are,
set out to make your day full of long casts, chilly water, and late fall wind as
memorable and successful as it can be. To provide performance and power when any
where you need it most.

Eastfork
Failure is not something we take lightly on a
reel's drag system, or any other part for that
matter. When we set out to create the new
EastFork reels we started with no
preconceptions. We had no set manufacturing
technique, no preexisting components and no
vision of the final product. What came out of it
is performance, and at under $200, performance
you'd expect to get from a reel costing twice as
much.
With the new EastFork reels you won't have to
loosen the drag to save your tippet, or crank
down to prevent a large fish from spooling you.
All three models are equipped with very strong,
smooth and sensitive drags that transition from
a delicate, friction-free startup, to controlled
strength at any setting.

Venture
In the old days, even
the finest fly anglers thought of their
reels as little more than a line holder.
Not to say they didn't appreciate the
craftsmanship of a finely machined fly
reel, they just felt the skills for
fighting fish on a fly rod were with the
fisherman, not the workings of a reel.

Current Reels
After you're gone, these reels will
cause fights amongst your heirs. Until
then, a top of the line water resistant
drag system will put the odds decidedly
in your favor when you tussle with drag
testing fish. Double anodized and cold
forged they're light, strong and easy on
the eyes.
